Adkins brings more than 25 years of financial experience to his role overseeing production, planning, strategic growth, and other initiatives for GHMC.  Beginning his career as a certified public accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick, Adkins entered the mortgage industry in 2000.  He has held numerous positions in the industry including Loan Originator, Regional Wholesale Manager, Divisional Manager, Chief Production Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief Executive Officer.

During the summer of 2023, Adkins led the successful transition of corporate assets to First Colony Mortgage Corporation.  This event led to the DBA formations of GHMC TPO, GHMC and GoGuaranty Home Lending; now fueled by First Colony Mortgage Corporation.

Adkins is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with an MA in Accounting, Murray State University with a BS in Accounting, and is an inactive CPA.  He is a member of the MBA, numerous state affiliations and holds multiple NMLS licenses.

Hagood ushers in more than 30 years of industry experience. The majority of his time in the industry has been in the TPO space with experience in operations and sales.  Hagood began his career in 1984 in the consumer finance business and transitioned to the mortgage industry in 1987 with Goldome Credit Corporation.  He opened a regional office for Statewide Mortgage Company in 1993 as vice president and regional manager and helped the office become a national leader before the company was acquired in 1998 by Norwest/Wells Fargo.  He then spent 7 years with New South Federal Savings Bank as one of the top producing account executives serving TPO clients across the southeast.  Working with GHMC since 2009 Hagood oversees business development working closely with Sales and Operations to provide a superior customer experience to all our business partners. Hagood attended Auburn University.

As a mortgage banking professional, Andy has enjoyed senior management roles with Ace Mortgage Funding, First Community Mortgage, and Bank of England Mortgage. In December 2022, Andy joined the former Guaranty Home Mortgage Corporation, which eventually joined Utah based First Colony Mortgage Corporation. This transition established the DBA’s of GHMC, GHMC TPO and GoGuaranty Home Lending.

Andy’s depth of experience in mortgage lending includes oversight in the following areas: sales (B2B, B2C), branch development, forecasting, budgeting, P&L management, policy administration, agency and vendor relations, underwriting, credit maintenance, risk analysis, performance management, recruiting and training, marketing and advertising, and specialized compliance knowledge around loan originator compensation regulations.

He earned a BS, Business Management & Operations Management, from the acclaimed Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. From 2004-2012, Voyles was a nationally Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist (CRMS), sponsored by the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

Voyles has been active in the Tennessee Association of Mortgage Brokers, Nashville Association of Mortgage Bankers, National Mortgage Bankers Association, and served on the Lender Advisory Board for the Tennessee Housing Development Agency, 2014 – 2016. In 2010, he became a SAFE ACT instructor and assisted the State of TN Department of Financial Institutions in authoring the first state mortgage licensing test.

He is an active member and elected leader with the Brentwood United Methodist Church. Additionally, he serves as the past Board Chair for the Davis House Child Advocacy Center, and current President for the Ravenwood High School Band Boosters. Voyles is an avid boater and Center Hill Lake enthusiast.

Matt Wright joined the First Colony Mortgage family in the summer of 2023, immediately after the addition of the GHMC TPO and GoGuaranty brands. Matt brings a tremendous array of experience including origination, retail operations, underwriting, P&L management, and secondary. Matt was hired as the CFO for the combined brand.

Matt presently serves as the President of the Nashville Mortgage Bankers Association. Before that role, he held numerous leadership and volunteer assignments. Matt also achieved the highly respected CMB status, ranking him as one of the true elite of the mortgage banking industry.

Matt and his family reside in Murfreesboro, TN. He is an avid runner, UT sports enthusiast and
DIY hobbyist.

Corey Shelley is the owner of the Utah-based mortgage company First Colony Mortgage Corporation.  The company was founded by Corey’s father and a partner in 1984. Corey started working at the company at age 7 and grew up in the industry.   In high school, he was closing loans for his teachers.  Starting from such a young age, Corey acquired a deep and specialized knowledge of the mortgage and real estate industries.  He has honed his skills in the mortgage industry and as a business owner through the many real estate cycles he has experienced over the past 25 years.

In 2015, Corey and other family members and close friends acquired the company.  Since then, with Corey at the helm, sales have increased six-fold.  He has achieved this rapid and sustained growth through a strong focus on new construction and relationships with builders in Utah and surrounding states.

Corey started his collegiate education while playing basketball at Snow College and later Utah Valley University.  He met his wife Erin while working at First Colony.  They now raise three kids together, one of whom works at First Colony.  They enjoy going to sporting events, concerts, and boating on the lake.
